Colin Haylock and RTPI London planners tour the Canary Wharf Crossrail Station.

RTPI President Colin Haylock met over 100 planners from across the Capital during his two day visit to RTPI London on the 3rd and 4th May.

A series of events were organised themed around future infrastructure for London. Proceedings started with a tour of  City Airport and a seminar with presentations on the airport, Crossrail and the Emirates Air Line cable car. This was followed by a tour of the Canary Wharf Crossrail Station which is currently under construction.

The day was finished with a wine tasting session at Vivat Baccus, London Bridge providing Colin with the opportunity to socialise with RTPI members from across the Capital.

Friday began with a seminar on cycling in London, part of RTPI London’s cycling series. This included speakers from London Cycling Campaign, London Borough of Hounslow and British Waterways.

The afternoon was spent touring the Royal Docks with representatives from the GLA and London Borough of Newham providing over 45 delegates with an incite into some of the exciting proposals coming forward in this part of the Docklands.

RTPI London would like to thank KDH Associates, London City Airport, Vivat Baccus, Crossrail Canary Wharf, TFL, GLA and the London Boroughs of Newham and Southwark for supporting the events. We would also like to thank all speakers and participants.

Over 45 planners joined Colin on a tour of the Royal Docks hosted by the GLA and LB Newham
